NCR Rally idea...

Sorry about the confusion again guys.

The NCR Rally information is located on the North Central Region's board.

Once there go to the top to the "sticky" thread called: "The Melody Marchbanks Memorial Ride 2012". The NCR board does not list this year's rally as the North Central Rally -- which is why some may be getting confused.

On that board you will find a thread there I put that has the brochure and the rally routes for the two days. The brochure has the motel phone numbers for reservations. Here is a link to that thread: http://www.vulcanbagger.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=25531

Rasta: Don't know what part of Iowa you are in. My wife and I are heading from our house over to Anamosa early on the 7th. I had intentions of being there by no later than 10 or 11AM. I will likely be there at 10AM if Rayski can get over to my house early enough to ride along. If he is delayed some, then so will I.

I will post my intentions as we get closer to the 7th. Hopefully we will see you then!

We live just north of Des Moines which is straight west on I-80. We are about 160 miles from Anamosa.We will keep in touch as the time gets near!

Hey Greg, Denny & Sally will be joining me for the trip to Savanna on June 6. We will have to figure out on when and where to meet for the ride to Anamosa on the 7th

Gibby... you guys might want to head to Anamosa, Iowa if you are both able to travel on the 6th. By doing so you will already be there when we arrive. There is a hotel directly across the street from the museum. Otherwise... if you want to make the ride with us to Anamosa, we would definitely ride through Savanna to pick-up with you on the way to the museum. Think about it and let me know your thoughts. Our best, and quickest route would not have "us" going through Savanna on our way to Anamosa. Either way... we will make it work if there is a chance to ride with the both of you... you know that!

Rasta, we should just meet you at the museum, or at least in Anamosa at your hotel there. Again, we'll have to make more exact plans as we get closer to the 7th so let me know your ideas also.

All I know is that I would like to see this museum. It is definitely one of the best in the U.S. and should be seen while we are near it.

All in all... I am glad to hear there are a few of us thinking about meeting to make this ride to see the museum. I am looking forward to the rally this coming June. It should be fun!

greg im doing one of two things ill be getting to savanna on the 6th and will be there waiting in savanna or ill meet you by your area early on the 7th ive got to see how they put my vacation for june i might have to play around with the days off ill let you know

I am going to attempt to leave here early enough to reach the museum in Anamosa by 10 or 11AM.

I wanted to wait to see what Ray is able to do before I can confirm the time though. One way or another, I am going to go there.

It would be great if you could make it Tim. Any chance James might make it?

Denny, Sally and I are spending the night of June 6 at the very plush Super 8 in Savanna. That way we can get to Poopy's a couple of times We can get up late, have a nice breakfast at that little restaurant down the street and meet you in Anamosa @ 10 or 11. Or you can swing thru Savanna if you want and we can ride to Anamosa as a larger group, your choice

That's great that you'll be there on the 6th.

Here is what is happening from this end.

Don (Bluekaw1600) is coming up from Indiana on the 6th and will stay at my house. So, if we leave my house by 7:00am, we will be in Savanna by 9 to 9:30ish. If we can leave Savanna for Anamosa by 9:30 to 10am... we can be in Anamosa by 11:30 or so (1 1/2 hour ride). That will give us time to tour the museum for two or three hours, eat lunch and then head back to Savanna.

EDIT: I forgot to add J&P Cycles in Anamosa for any of those wanting to stop by there to look at all their after-market parts, accessories, and toys...

We should arrive back in Savanna in plenty of time to check-in (for those of us who haven't yet) and get ready to meet everyone else at Poopy's at 6PM.

Stretch said he wanted to try to make the extra day's ride to Anamosa also. He will likely just meet us there in Savanna early on the 7th. He'll let us know his plans later.

There may be another or two meeting-up with us at the Museum also.

This is great! Looking forward to seeing the "old-gang" again!!

(Don is trailering his bike(s) because after the rally on Sunday, Don is heading to Wyoming to help a friend build a building on their land out there.)
