I've got almost 12,000 miles on my Cobra pipes and no cracks. So far so good.

UPDATE !!
Just heard back from V&H; they say, there has not been an issue with these pipes cracking! Do you believe that? All over the Vulcan forums, and this one, yet they say there is no issue. In the same response, the guy says, " we have extended the warranty on that particular system, and, if it falls within 1 year period from installation, we will gladly ship you a free replacement headpipe"
Sounds like they know full well there is an issue!
Sounds fishy to me....

I've kinda given up on Vance & Hines! There was a problem with the Baffles on my Baggers so my Stealer tried to get replacements. However V & H couldn't tell them what part number they were? So, when I was in Sturgis I got a hold of the V & H boys at their trailer and of course they said that was B.S. and they would get back to me with the proper part number, okay that was almost 2 months ago. Also, they gave me a number to call - which also went un-returned! So, after a long and tiring adventure I figured out that they are the same baffles as in the Harley Classic Slip on mufflers Prt No. A321R. However, I probably am going to give up and just toss the damn mufflers away and run some modified Harley Mufflers instead!

My rear pipe cracked at about 32,000 miles the first time, had it mig welded and it cracked again at about 36,000 miles. This time I took it to a better welder who tig welded the crack then put a patch over it as well. I have 41,000 miles so far and its still holding.
