Stan, if you want to treat yourself to one of the most enjoyable rides you will ever experience...just continue up 93 all the way to Lolo, MT. There, you turn west on Hwy 12 making the run over Lolo Pass and right down into Orofino. The stretch of 93 from Arco, ID to Darby, MT is one of my all time favorites...and the run over Lolo Pass is pure bliss. If time allows....you could/should turn off 93 at Shoshone, ID and follow 75 north up through Ketchum and Stanley (Sawtooth National Forest), then east back to 93 at Challis.....as that would truly take you right through Gods country.

Your other option is to run from Boise north up 55/95 through Grangeville. While it is a bit shorter and a nice ride in itself, I would recommend the longer, much more enjoyable run up the east side of the Bitteroot Range. You may never make it up that way again and it is some of the finest riding in the entire country...but research and plan your fuel stops as they are pretty spread out. Just my $.02....!

I will take all of that under consideration. However, right now I'm working on a project that if successful would relocate me to San Diego for two years and might impact our attendance at this rally.

Leaving at all may not be an option.
