The incubation period is up to 21 days. The infected person helped a friend bury a women in Liberia that died from Ebola. Following the burial, the friend died from Ebola. The only precaution taken when some one is traveling from the countries where Ebola is epidemic is a questionnaire that the traveler completes. Obviously this guy lied about being in contact with anyone with the virus when he filled out the questionnaire.

We're told that our medical facilities can safely quarentine and treat an infected person. That's great, but what about their ability to quarantine and treat 10s or 100s of infected people. We need to block the entry into the USA of anyone that is traveling from or visited any of the countries fighting the virus.

My guess is that it's just a matter of time until some nut case finds a way to make the Ebola virus airborne. Heaven help us all then.

We need to bring our troops out of that area NOW. Those troops have families and keeping them there is putting their families at risk

The number of people being watched is 18. Mostly children who can pass this thing around quickly.

I wouldn't believe anything that the CDC has to say.

My wife's brother in law died last month working for the CDC. He was working on a new smallpox vaccine but no one knows what killed him because he travelled aroud Afganastan, Iran, Africa, and other highly contagious countries with the World Health Organization. They figured that he picked something up in one of those countries but couldn't find a cure for it and couldn't identify it.

At every -event- earthquakes. tidal waves, hurricanes, wide spread illness..etc The Initial reports are Alway's "placatory" with vastly understated numbers...

The actual numbers of Ebola cases in Africa are now much higher than reported...Military Troops are surrounding entire towns/cities..and just shooting anyone that tries to get out !

....But then..maybe i'm just exaggerating ! (I'm with mac..just in case)

I'm puzzled. The CDC is saying there is no risk to the passengers on the same flight with him. If so, why the rush to identify all of these passengers????????????

If ISIS doesnt get us then the Ebola will. If Ebola doesnt then the US Govt will. They are now issuing machine guns to the USDA so they can raid chicken farmers and make sure they are keeping accurate records and immunizing the chicks. WHY in the HELL does the USDA need machine guns. We are slowly and methodically being put under martial law and soon the Govt will be the only ones allowed to have weapons. Local, state, and Federal officials are being militarized at an alarming rate. Why does god damned Barney Fife need a damn TANK and M14? I hope the Ebola gets us all before we see the Govt turn into North Korea and Kim Jung Obama is hailed as dictator. And by the way, If you like your health care plan you can keep your health care plan and keep your doctor, and we are going to save money for the whole country...! What a freaking joke!

Well so far we dont have it over here, which is nothing short of a miracle, when you consider that any pox ridden neanderthal and his family can just waltz in here and be greeted with open arm's,a free house and a dole cheque.

But when, and not if, it come's, you can bet your arse that our government will make a bigger bollock's of it than yours.

We eradicated TB 50 yrs ago, but it's back with a vengeance now, due to all the scum of the earth turning up by the boat load, fucking unbelievable !
