Ricky I would think if my standard Valkyrie tips slide over my OEM pipes fine that any Valkyrie tip would?
My standard Valkyrie tips are 12" long at the longest point. CJ- My tips have scraped twice in 3 years both times riding 2up down a driveway. The good thing is the scrapes are on the bottom and you can't see them. I have a brand new pair of Valkyrie tips sitting in the original box just in case I need them someday. Sorry guys I do not want to sell them. One word of caution. Do not pound them on....they will dimple if pounded on too far...don't ask me how I know that

I have only scraped my exhaust tips once, and that was coming out of a pretty steep driveway. It didn't even scrape enough to leave marks on the tips, just the sound of them hitting. I did debaffle my pipes before putting them on. I think it sounds just right!
As far as mounting them... I just shoved them onto the stock exhaust as far as I could push them. Then I marked the holes for the set screws with a sharpy pen. I pulled the tips off, drilled the 3 holes with a drill bit (small one), then put the tips back on. I lined up the holes... Got some self-tapping sheet metal screws & washers (these were just in case) and screwed them in. I haven't had a problem with them in roughly 3 years.

Tips arrived today, not brand new but pretty close. $80 shipping included. Did you guys have to take the hard bags off to do the install? How many inches should the tip extend past the bags?
Thanks

I did remove hard bags. Just slide the tips on to pipe as far as possible, they will be snug. Make sure they are straight before marking hole.
Here are the instructions from Gadget page: http://www.gadgetjq.com/valk_tips.htm Here are some pics.

Put the Valkyrie tips on today. Distinct difference in sound. Look very sharp. Well worth the $80 invested, very happy. Didn't remove baffles might do that at later date. Thanks for all the help guys.

The tips made a difference without a debaffle? Tell me about it, please.
