Ditto on the Clearview. I replaced my stock Triumph Rocket 3 screen with the tinted Clearview with the adjustable vent. The Nomad screen has more of a curve to it though so I'm now sure how a vent would work.
Some of these comments have illustrated the importance of getting it right when you order the replacement screen. I got the 4 inch over on my Triumph and it was not right. I should have gotten the 2 inch over because it split my view with the it in the lowest position. I keep my Nomad screen in the bottom position and it is perfect because I look just over it and the protection is good. When I order the Clearview replacement I'll get it in the same height but wider for the extra wind protection on the hands. It really helped on the Triumph. The Rocket guys call the Clearview the "barn door" and a windscreen behind which a guy could light a cigar at 70 MPH. One of our other members recently submitted a thread on getting a smoked replacement screen with matching wind lowers for about $180. I can't recall the name of the company but he seemed well satisfied.

I cut my own wider and taller shield from a piece of 1/8" lexan (polycarbonate). Got a masked 'drop' (scrap piece) from a local boat window maker and traced my old windshield over it to get the curves right, cut with a medium fine blade on a saber saw and lightly sanded the edges for a job nobody can tell from factory.

NH has a lot of rain and the skeeters are the size of eagles , plus i slouch...... When I get spooked I sit up and look over the top, but I have to be bolt upright to do it.

What the heck? That high priced perfect bike doesn't have a power windshield so you can push a button to raise it in the rain, lower it in the heat, or adjust it in dirty air? Blasphemy!
......mine does Kidding aside, the power shield has been the most pleasant "surprise" feature. Never thought it would be so valuable. I used to dread riding in rain or drizzle but not anymore. Not a big deal, just hit the button to find the "sweet" spot. I have sorted through windshield reviews for multiple bikes... everyone seems to have a favorite or one they dislike. I say find someone that is about your size withe same bike that solved the issue. I think some products have gotten so good that we split hairs. My last 2 new shields were great improvements. A Cee Bailey on the Nomad and a tinted Clearview with vent on the ST. Both were oversized vs. stock. A bronze tint would look sharp on your bike and be funtional. A vent sure reduces backside pressure. Clearview may have some "cat eye" vent options so crap (rain, bugs, etc.) does not come through the middle of the shield and hit you in the face....only on on the sides. Or you could do what "Hillbilly" Kris does....just shove a rag in his center vent! Good luck.

Thanks for all suggestions.
It would be nice is someone could post a close up picture of the recuvre to see what it actually looks like. I plan on doing some experimenting this week with different heights and opening the gap up over the headlight.

We get hard rain often in NH.. Like, if you don't ride in the rain you don't ride at all. last time I checked i was 5' 10" barefoot. I might be less now as my spine is quitting it's job.
