I have heard the grasshopper unit is not very adjustable. I have installed a Mustang seat with driver backrest on my last 3 bikes. It was money well spent.

Adjustability...well, I heard one person (on facebook?) mention he was a little bummed that the 'rest he bought sort of pushed him forward a little more than his liking. I guess it depends on what sort of slouch/posture a person likes. I can see how lack of adjutability would be a hindrance. There is one on eBay for about 150 shipped is adjustable. It has my attention but when I finally get spare funds to throw down, I dunno if I will want to swing that kind of money.

I'ld be interested in a detail photo of the back rest bracket, in case I get around to making one, or something like like it.

Yeah Mick that's the one. It's my job now. No heavy lifting and no thinking.

I currently have a grasshopper back rest, I dont use it often but when I do its nice that it takes 10 seconds to take out of the saddle bag and install or when my wife who is 5 ft nothing goes to climb on, it takes 10 seconds to remove so she doesnt have to try and swing over it. I originally had a rather fancy and expensive kawasaki fire and steel......or whatever it's called, it folded down for passenger, sure looked good but was uncomfortable as all hell.
