I grew up in North Bellmore, lived in Lynbrook and then Oakdale before moving to Iowa. Did you grow up in Glen Cove? One of my aunts married a Vetrone.

I couldn't afford to go back if I wanted to. Taxes are insane and last time I was there, it's seems like it changed, but there are things I miss, like decent pizza, the ocean and family. For quality of life, Iowa was best, but in terms of government keeping out of your business, AZ is good. There's no perfect place, glad I grew up and lived on LI for 40 years, but I guess once you leave, that's it.

Pizza is important. My brother came up from Pittsburgh and had to have a NY pizza while he was here. Umbertos in New Hyde Park always loved that place. Cost of living is definitely high. I live in a small 1400sq ft cape and taxes are around 10k a year. Ridiculous! If my kids were not on LI I would move. The most annoying thing here is if you want to go for a nice ride off LI you have to pass through the Bronx or Manhattan and that could mean over and hour and a half to go 30miles. Have to pick the right time of day to travel.

The coast from Santa Cruz up to Washington is like that. As much as I like the weather in CA, I'll skip it because of the politics and costs. Oregon might make more sense.

What kind of stereo system is on the bike? Is it just stereo or stereo/nav?

It has blutooth with my android and a usb that I use with a usb stick. Also I could hook up my phone to a headset if I wanted to answer calls but I don't want to talk while riding.

I was riding toward the pump yesterday on my Vaquero and looked in my rears and notice the front end of a brand new Indian Roadmaster right behind me coming out of nowhere....I cranked up the throttle a little and he was right there with me until we both pulled into the pump and dismounted. Beautiful ride the Indian and the Thunderstroke 111 powerful motor too... he said he had over 30K in the thing.....$$! He loved my Vaquero.

Yes. Mine was $28,000 with tax and everything. The 111 is a beast and I am sure even more so when the Thunder AC and the EJK arrive. I have always been a fan of the Vaquero and you can't beat the Vulcan reliability and the green really stands out when I see them on the highway. I took a chance buying a second year production american motorcycle. I did buy the first year 1700 Vulcan too. So far the RM with 1400 miles is doing o.k. but I did notice a little gunk on my front push rod the was difficult to clean off and now I will monitor it and if it returns I will have to bring back to dealer also heat shields are looking brownish at the top. I will keep riding for the season unless something else pops up but I think it will be visiting the shop at the end of the season. I will see if the AC and ejk cool it off a bit.
