Sometimes Tim should keep his remarks to himself. I knew what I was typing. I was just giving Jared a hard time.

I think wireless sensors and controls would freak them out. They had phones and TV, so one could imagine those progressing. But walking into a room and it coming alive for you, the toilet flushing itself, water faucets running with a wave of the hand, starting the car and turning on the heat from the house, or jacking into the Matrix ... oh wait, that's 2025 ... sorry, got ahead of myself!
And I had (still have?) some car magazines from the '50s. They would be so disappointed that we are not all driving air-cars and still have to worry about flat tires! Both those were predicted to occur soon!

You may want to throw that out. It could kill you if you eat it. Green eggs and ham is just a kids story, your not supposed to eat that stuff.

So what I want to know is, if the Burger bike is an icon from the 50's or something that is supposed to impress some one from the 50's?

Grandparents?? I have to admit I've owned cars that did not have seat belts. It was not the Law until the 1965 models.

I guess youre right, my parents cars didnt have them either, or if they did, we didnt use them. That didnt occur until the mid 70s I think. I used Grandparents because I got slung out the door of my GMs 1960 Dodge Dart into a grassy ditch in the early 60s. I rolled and was fine. Waited while she turned around to come get me. My GM on the other hand made me promise to never tell my Mom about it.

I didn't start using seat belts until we had kids and used to buckle them in. I figured since they had to wear seatbelts then I would too. My dad used to stuff them inside the seat or remove them altogether.

I have to believe that some of our forefathers were forward thinking and had a pulse on the future.
If I could bring Mark Twain back from the dead and parade him around the US, I believe he would probably drool from the strides we've made. I think he would marvel at the fact that one could write a novel without any typed or written pages. In that same light, I've thought many times how cool it would be to freeze myself and come back in 50-60 years and see where we are in technology, medicine and society in general. Discounting politics... that'll never change.
