Have not had operable cruise on my 2013 Vaq since purchased last August. Been in and out of the shop at my local Kawasaki dealer several times....with much discussion with Kawasaki via emails and phone calls. Have already replaced (under warranty per Kawasaki) the cruise master switch assembly on the bars and the throttle cables. They finally had to adjust the linkage tab at the throttle body to get it to activate per Kawasaki's suggestion. They are now willing to cover a complete throttle body replacement if that does not cure it. Haven't had a chance to get the bike back to them for the adjustment. Ugh! All else has been trouble free.
