Congratulations and hopefully you got some of your money back when you traded in. There is a mod for that throttle and Framer might give you an idea since he did it to his ride.

Like you I wasn't looking for a two-color paint scheme. I have the same setup on my 1700 LT and really like it. Looks great.

I don't have $$ burning a hole in my pocket so the big 3 is going to have to wait.

I got what I put into repairs, basically. They shorted me a little because it never had turn signals on the front and they had to put a light bar on it so they could sell it. Whatever. The deal was still good for peace of mind.

I understand. The mods should be over time, not all at once. I have a fairing in my garage, so I'll get that mounted up. All other things can wait. Grips will be soon though, because they're relatively cheap and the stock grips are too small.

Beautiful bike the Nom....love the 2012 color. Some people put batwing fairings on them color painted to match and get the better protection, and can add a stereo. You can purchase either the Kuryakyn iso grips or the Avon units and send the throttle grip to Ray in Florida to eliminate the throttle hesistation. Mine is on the way back from him as I write this and I will comment on the change after a ride. Sorry to hear about the V2K tranny probs....wow. I never knew of this until now.

Turns out, the 2k is notorious for the trans failures. Nobody knew what it was really, until after I experienced it, I realized that a lot of other people were too, they just didn't know it. They were describing similar situations, and no one was putting it together. Oh well...

I am really happy with the Nomad. I am going to be ordering my grips (Kuryakyn) directly from Ray. I talked to him and he stocks them ready to ship with the mod already done. I will be calling him this week. Last week got away from me.

I will be adding a fairing soon. I am looking at the Reckless unit. Seems like a really good fairing.

I already had the kuryakyn grips so get this....I sent the throttle unit to Ray all the way from Oregon to his shop in Florida on a Monday 5.95 USPS and he had it done and back to me coast to coast in 5 days! Blew me away and he hardly charged me anything for the return shipment. His machining is precise and it works....your throttling picks up faster and crisper as advertised. The re-installing was the same as putting the new grips on in stock form....no problems.

I ordered them today. Waiting for them to get here... Ordering the exhaust tonight or tomorrow, gonna see if my dealer will price match. If they will, along with the tuner, will be ordered tomorrow.

I have been incredibly happy with mine. Installed the Cobra Power Pro tonight, and the V&H the other night. I can't wait to ride, but there is like 3" of snow on the ground...
