Coolant pipe seepage
I wouldn't do the stop leak in any leak except the radiator. It's powdered magnesium and works wonder on the radiator but I would be leary on the leaking head pipes tubes. I'd do the caddmann fix and sleep better.

Coolant pipe seepage
My info is that stop leak tends to plug up the radiator tubes. I would only use it in an emergency. As hot as these bikes run I wouldn't want to compromise the radiator.
As for the dealer, any dealer is going to want to remove the injection, because that's what the book says to do. It does make the pipe bolt easy to remove, but the injection manifold bolts themselves are a pain to remove. BtW, it's been months since I did this, and I mis-remembered something. (Old Timers Disease...) The little tab on the pipe already has a slot on it. I did not cut it before removal but afterwards. I just bent it a little to get it off the bolt, because (unfortunately) the slot opens towards the right instead of down. When I clipped the tab, I made the slot open more downward. I probably could have just cut it off completely. It's the silicone doing all the work now. |

I edited my sketch to show the slot. It's sloppy because I edited the bitmap in Photobucket instead of doing it with Autocad & uploading again, but that's OK. I wanted it to be obvious what portion of the sketch I revised.
