Just put in an order myself. Got the 3-2oz packets shipped for $10.20. If I read it right the 150 tire takes 2oz.

I use them too. At work when we change a plow truck tires we throw a bag in the tire and the bag breaks open when going down the road, thus balancing the tire. So when we change a tire out we have these beads in there and don't reuse them so I have some that I put on my bike. I have a CT on the rear as well and when I changed my other CT I just transferred mine too like Cliff.

Waving Dyna Beads

No More Lead Weights for Me Too! Switched to Dyna Beads last year. No issues at all, Rims are easier to clean.

I saw up a few reply's using steel beads. Those kinda look like Shot Gun Bird Shot ?

I used them in a car tire on my nomad and also on my Jeep Cherokee and Liberty. Work great. Best installed when mounting tire, a PIA putting them in through valve stem, although easier when you hold the installation tube against a vibrating sander. (with no sandpaper of course)

Ceramic beads can be manufactured to withstand huge amounts of abrasion, mechanical force etc. I work in oilfield Fracturing (fracking) and we use ceramic beads to prop open the fractured earth to prevent it from closing up the fracture and that is about 1 million times the pressures you will ever see in a motorcycle tire or truck tire for that matter.

Yep, they work great as other have said. I too and using air soft pellets. The concept is the same and they're easier to buy.

You can get an applicator bottle/tube and beads at www.rockymountainatv.com. They have some of the best prices on tires too. Check them out.

I have also used DynaBeads for a good long time now. There are sellers on Ebay who sell the same product, cheaper. I believe they are actually "ceramic polishing media" like might be used in an ultrasonic brass polisher. (?)
They are plastic. They are larger. They are not expelled or get caught in the valve when checking/adding air to the tire.

Yes that's the beauty they can be added any time. They are truly a pain in the butt to get in through the valve stem...even using something to vibrate the stem as you pour it's a slow tedious process. But totally worth it. I had chronic front wheel vibration at high speed till I added a couple ounces, my bike has been perfect every since.

To each their own but I don't see why someone would use something not made for this purpose when you can get the real thing for under $10.

Count me in too. Beads work awesome. I ran them in my Beemer tires and am sold for life. This weekend I spoon new tires on the Vulcan for the first time. Beads are part of the plan of course.
