WOW ! that's a great deal. The "batwing brigade" will be growing by leaps and bounds this yr. I can't wait to get "strobes" fairing on my bike.

I saw that auction too. Didn't want to take a chance on running the price up for another Kawanow member.

I saw it also, and was sure it was someone from here. Maybe we should let others on Kawanow know if another one comes up and we bid on it?

Probably not a bad idea. I always wonder if I am bidding against somebody here when I bid on Nomad parts. Maybe we can have a eBay thread in parts to list things we are bidding for and/or parts that others might be interested in.

Sorry, I've been away a few days and haven't kept up. does he make them to fit a 1600? The only eBay auction I've seen states it is for a 1500.

How difficult is it to install a stereo in one of these? I assume the openings are a standard size compatible with most aftermarket stereos and speakers?

http://www.vulcanbagger.com/phpBB3/v...14412&start=15

Thanks. The radio opening isn't a problem, unless you already have a single-DIN unit you want to mount in what appears to be a double-DIN opening.

I'm not sure I want or need 4 speakers in the front, though.

Looks like a decent item for the money. I don't know if it's much less expensive than buying a Tsukayu fairing by the time you add in paint, a stereo and speakers, etc.

I'm anxious to learn more about them.

I talked to Alex this afternoon and here is what we came up with.

This is for the non stereo faring you install your own radio & speakers it comes with mounting brackets and your choice of a 5" or 8" windshield.
Price $315.00
shipping in the US $50.00
He said he could ship to Canada for about $75.00

When you go to his site to order or when you call the KawaNOW code is KAW14 you need this code to get this price.

Also some have asked about the speaker holes he said he can leave them solid but it will have a recess where the holes should be.

The radio opening is 8 1/2" X 3 1/2" which works for a marine splash cover and a standard single din radio.

In a few months he will start making the fairing with 6" and 6"x9" speaker holes.

He also has tour pak like Harleys that he said he would get me a price on it in a few days

If you would send me a PM when you order one as I may be able to use the amount of sales to get lower prices on other things.

Also I told him after we get our fairings painted and mounted some of us would send him a picture so he could us it on his site.

Here is the web site:

CJ, The TSUKAYU fairing are around 600$ primed. TSUKAYU makes a GREAT product as well.I have the Strong bags on my Honda Sabre...BUT for 300$ Alex seems to have the best price IMO.NOT sure the difference detween the Nomad and HD Fairing,, BUT 315$ w.brackets is IMO NUTs on :).Ill be ordering probly next week.or 2.wont paaint till summer.,,,,,,,ALSO I may get the fairing with out the holes, Dont think I want 4 speakers,, I am planning on installing my Volt meter in 1 hole and Tach in the other,What you think???

I call this week if I get a break, Next? is can he make HD style lowers to fit the Nomad :)

Rich I am trying to make up my mind I think I will leave the two inside holes closed and go ahead and put speakers in the 2 outside holes. Wait until you hear from me Alex is working up a discounted price on the trunk should hear from him in a couple of days. Jim
