Thanks for the thoughts and prayers everyone. It was an emotional time for the wife and her mother. Some tears were shed but most of the family that had visited her recently was glad that she was out of pain and having a family reunion in heaven.

One big surpise for the family was the attendance at the funeral. Most of her friends have either passed away or were in tough shape also. Imagine that when you are 89. However, the church was packed. Some of the people in attendance were family of her friends. Said that their parents enjoyed her company so much that they wanted to attend for their parents and show their respect.

Be the strong like I know you will for your wife Waterman........my mama passed away about a year ago and about six or eight months before that it was my grandma. I'm not ashamed to say it was a very tough year for me after that. So I know what emotions and thoughts she's dealing with right now. Luckily you and she as well have access to a great site like this with caring and sympathetic people. We will never understand the reason things happen only God dose.

Hey Waterman, glad to hear there was such a large show of support at the funeral. It's things like that that help a person through tough times. God bless.

Joel,

Missed this post because of our SW trip last few days. Sorry to hear this and knowing your Mom-in-law is in a bad way too must really be difficult. Life brings this on sometimes and life, friends, and family will help you get through it. Just let me know when you can get over this way for a little time cruising in the hills one of these days.

Thanks Ells and everyone else. Yes the mother-in-law is not doing well. Krystal plans on taking a leave of absence from work in the next week or two. I have a suspiscion that it may not be that long. She is on the equivilent of 14 to 16 liters of O2 and more pain killers to knock a horse down. There are several other things going on but would take to long to list. It is truely sad watching someone you care about go thru this. She is a wonderful MIL and couldn't have asked for better.

When things get calmed down we will give you a call and hit the hills. At least it has to be cooler than the furnace that we had today.
