No problem, I couldn't sit here and let you pay more than you should for something. If we ever cross paths, I'll let you buy me a beer

Personally, I didn't like the looks of the DB trunk. Purely my opinion, don't want to offend anyone who has one. That's why I bought the other kind.

I wonder how many Mutazu trunks eglidegoodies has sold at twice the price? Oh, look at the photo gallery on Mutazu's website, and you can see how the trunk looks on lots of different bikes.

1600 nomad trunk questions

I had a mutaza trunk on my last bike and the VIP on the back is a dead give away that they are the same trunk. The trunk it self is a good trunk though. I never could get two helmets in mine though.

I'm a new member and I was looking at the trunk on Daves "08 n1600. I like the looks of it; what kind of trunk is it? Thanks.

Welcome to the site, pull up a chair, the beer is in the fridge.

It looks like a mutazu on a wompus rack

I have been thinking about getting a trunk and I like the one oldbiker has on his.

You mentioned you got it from another member, any idea where he may have bought it from?
Did it come blue/silver?

I checked the links provided by v0lusia and the trunks are nice. Suprisingly, the DB trunks with spolier and lights are cheaper than the wompus racks.

Hi,
It's a personal choice as to what looks good. For me the quality wasn't there with the Matazu. I went with the 84' Yamaha Venture trunk. The making of the rack was the hard part. The rest was done by the local body shop. Couldn't do without it now.

Rickyboy ...where did you get the "nomad" emblem on your trunk? I know there are some on ebay but they are quite small and I would like to have one that is a bit bigger for my trunk project. Anybody have any thoughts on where I might look for one? Thanks
Mike

Go to your dealer or an online OEM parts dealer and look in the parts fiche, look at the "decals" page and order either the emblem off the back of the passenger backrest (that's what I used on my trunk - see below) or the larger one that goes on the windscreen.

thanks cj. I guess I wasn't to clear on what I was looking for. I know where to get the Nomad emblem like you have on your trunk. What I'm after is the scrypt "Nomad" but in a bit larger size than the ones available from Emblemzzz on Ebay.

Yep, I thought you meant the badge, not the script lettering. My bad.

I'd guess his are closer to a Chevrolet Nomad than a Kawasaki Nomad. I'd search for Chevy Nomad stuff and I'll bet you'll find it.

Hi Lomax,
I thought you meant the badge as well, when I was about to respond to your question. But now I understand. I got the script off ebay . {for $15.00 I think}. If you didn't have your email hidden I'd of sent you a link, but I'll try this.

Go to ebay....click on "categories" > "automotive" > "parts and accessories" > type in "Nomad script" in the search bar.

There are two New smaller nomad script posted there now {gold color I think}. I'm not sure if they're reproduction or not ....you'd have to message the people and ask.

As far as mine goes. It is original off a 56' {I think it was....maybe 57'}
It's a long story but I "missed" the first one I saw, but then another one { a little diff. ....bigger in size} showed up a week or so later. My advice is to keep looking every day or so. They go fast when they're put for sale. The Nomad Chev. is a very popular build. I know of 2 being done here where I live.
Good luck
