Are you going to be coming down I-15? If so, go maybe 20 miles past Beaver Ut and take Hwy 20 E for 20 miles and then 89 S to Kanab. That's the quickest way to get to Kanab. It can be really slow going through Zion, especially on a holiday weekend.

No, Mark said he was leaving on Sunday. I can't leave until Monday morning, and I am going up via Payson and Lake Mary Road to Flagstaff. It's faster for me than driving across the valley and taking I-17 N.

I'll leave Monday early-ish. Heading up Cave Creek to I-101 > I-17 >detour through Sedona for brunch. Might take another detour just to stay off the Slab.

I've never gone through Ceder Canyon- Hwy 14. Might be a cool ride too.

In Austin, Nv is where you can get the Loneliest Hwy pin I mentioned to you the other day.
Jared, Hwy 14 is a beatiful ride. However, it's still closed from a landslide late last Fall. Supposed to open to evening traffic starting 6/1/2012.

We should roll in early Monday afternoon. Today is starting out easy but it's still going to be a long week to get to Saturday morning.

No, we are coming across NV Hwy 50 through Ely, then south on 93 through Pioche. I wanted to run Cedar Canyon (14) to 89, but it won't be open yet.

Yeah, that puts you too far south, at Cedar City. It's actually faster for you to skip Zion, go to Hurricane (Locals pronounce it "her-uh-kun") and then take UT-59 (becomes 389 in AZ) to Fredonia, AZ then N to Kanab on 89-A. This also takes you past the polygamist towns of Hildale and Colorado City.

Mark Clark, Looks like all of us are going solo in one form or another from AZ. My wife is taking the car and wants to go to Flagstaff on Sunday. We will probably take most of day on Monday to get to Kanab. It is kind of a running joke with CJ that the only time we see each other is after going several hundred miles to one of the rallies.

Hell, you never know...I might. I think it would be interesting for the group to ride through town on the way to Zion on Wednesday.
