I just rolled in. Left Elkins 10 AM EDT . Managed to dodge most of the rain. Never had to stop to put on the rain gear. Otherwise the ride was pretty routine. Did pass Unwind2 in Kentucky on my way back to Texas.

1366 miles in 22 hours. A long tiring ride but well worth it. Now to unpack and get a short nap.

Amy & Nancy and all those that volunteered to lead rides and helped with the cookout put on an outstanding event.

It was good to be able to put faces to names.

So when do we do this again? ;) ;)

Made it home safe at 1PM then yard work the rest of the day. Absolutely fantastic weekend, even with the "liquid sunshine"on Fri. Amy, Nancy and crew did a terrific job!!! It was great being able to put faces to the forum names. I met some really terrific new friends and had a fun time!

Looks like everyone had a great time. Now it is time to set your sites on Custer! Sounds like it might be tough but could be even better.

Videos are too big right now for photobucket...gotta figure out how to downsize them, or put them somewhere else.

Oh, and you can download your pics in a little bigger size too...you just have to change the size it defaults to....

Any one know where I can stash videos bigger than 100M.... ??? ??? ???

Tammy and I got home at 1:30 p.m. today. Last saw Joe around 12:30 p.m. on I-75 in Ocala, he should be getting home late this afternoon.

We had rain, rain and oh, did I say we ran into some rain?

The funniest thing to me was when we got into Callahan, FL and we went over a RR overpass, there was a sign for a 5% grade that was all of 150 yards long. I almost laughed myself off the bike.

Joe, Tammy and I were talking last night during our unscheduled rain delay outside Columbia, and we all agreed that it was an awesome time spent with some of the nicest people we had ever hoped to encounter.

Us Florida Flatlanders certainly earned our KawaNOW merit badges on this trip.

Passed us twice . Yeah txcwdancer was rolling. 2nd time passed up we were under an overpass drinking water and thought you were long gone. Saw that modulating headlight and told my hubbie - there he goes. ;)

Stopped at a restaurant and a couple came in and walked up to us and asked if we were the ones on the Nomad and Goldwing. They were on a Goldwing and Nomad too. The Nomad was his the Goldwing hers.....told him to check out KawaNow.

Naples Florida check in...

Made it home safely. After I left Coach and Mrs. Coach, uneventful ride down I-75 until I get about 60 miles from my house. Pulled in a rest stop after looking at the skies ahead and there was a severe thunderstorm warning with hail, 60 mph wind gust, and a lot of rain (welcome to Florida in the summertime). Sat in the rest area for about 1/2 hour then put the rain gear back on and headed home. One trouble spot going over the Peace River with wind gust. Had to lean the bike sideways to stay on the road.

As I mentioned before great time meeting great people.

2600 miles total
65 Gallons gas $275
6 nights hotels $375
6 egg McMuffins
Countless cups of coffee

Meeting the nicest people and riding the hills of WV...PRICELESS!

thanks everyone for making me feel welcome..Joe :)
