My coverage increased from $57 a month for the Nomad to $96 for my Ultra. Insurance is expensive in this area.

I had been with Progressive for the bikes for 6 years. Then they almost doubled the price, (I had no claims) so I went looking. Ended up with American Modern. The Nomad and 900 Vulcan together cost me less than $400 per year. And that is with high liability limits, $5k accessory coverage, roadside assistance, and $250 collision deductable.
Add to that, in my business I see how Progressive takes the cheap way out in processing auto claims, and I don't really regret dropping them.

My auto insurance (Erie) was very good price wise on my cars, and when they quoted me $350 a year (full coverage) for my 96 vulcan 1500, I didn't think too much of it.

But when I called them to insure a 2011 Vaquero and he said $575,I about crapped...LOL. Almost as much as my 500hp 2005 Mustang.... no way?

Both Progressive and Foremost are quoting me about $275 year
Just don't move to Canada. I pay almost $1000/year for a 2003 Nomad with NO collision, but do have fire and theft.
