Not usually a lotto player but did buy some tickets for this. While in the store, I saw all the other, smaller lotteries they have. I asked the clerk if anyone was playing them and she said not much, all the action was in the Mega and Power ball lotteries. Even though some of the local state lotteries are only say $28k, I bought a few of them too. I'll take the $28k!

While $640,000,000 would be nice to have (yup. it's up to $640 million already), I'd settle just fine with missing a number and get the quarter million. I'd be debt free with a few nice new toys. I DID buy a Mega ticket, I'm ashamed to say. I'm generally so cost effective, I just wouldn't think about buying a ticket, but the sales chick had nice tits.

I heard where the winning number has been picked. How do they know that?

All the possible combinations have been purchased. So guess what? It could be someone here!

I bought one, but as Steven Tyler said... "Dream On"...

I play a select few Lotteries up here, you can't win if you don't have a ticket.
Yeah it is a long shot, but that ticket is entertainment, it buys you a dream for a bit each week.
I have known 4 people who won decent amounts, two guys at work won under $100,000 separate times, two Friends of mine won $150,000, and my mums next door neighbor won several million about 5 years ago.
All I got so far is free tickets.

Sorry guys, but I bought the winning MegaMillions ticket this morning. Just to show what a swell guy (and gracious winner) I am, after I collect my winnings, I'll throw the biggest private biker bash ever. I'll hire ZZ Top and Rush to play (for our Canadian brothers).

When I worked as a UNIX admin, we had a Powerball pool going for years. The whole team participated because nobody wanted the group to win and be the last one working because they didn't buy a ticket.

A few years ago one of the fellas here at work won 1.2 million. He upgraded his house, bought a couple new cars, truck, and a bike and now its all gone.
And he still works here.

I purchased my regular tickets for the week, I won $2 Wednesday
night. Which is what I usually win, but one time I won $150.
That was sweet!
The girl at the store asked me if I wanted a Mega-Millions ticket and
at first I said no, but like Monk said she distracted me and sold me a ticket.

I decided it would be to much hassle, I wouldn't know what to do with all that money so I didn't even try. After all, I am just a few days away from getting the 10 mil from Publishers Clearing House!

The odds of winning are astronomical. I would have had to drive up to Tennessee or over to Georgia, figured it would just be a waste.

Latest is 3 winning tickets. Kansas, Illinois and Maryland. I got 3 numbers on 3 different lines. Don't think that even qualifies for a free ticket.
