The fuel proccesor will for make it the best of both worlds. I ran a open intake for almost two seasons before putting on the Nomad. For the install it is very straight forward and I will have instructions included.

This kit eliminates the stock right side backing plate and is replaced with a new plate that the K-N filter goes against and then the stock cover is rebolted to the back plate. The round filter is completley open behind the stock cover. I like this set-up as it appears stock, but its not... !

Joe, how would this differ from the setup I have now? hypercharger pro, cobra automatic fuel processor, and the cobra tri-ovals. I just cannot get rid of the popping in the decel, new gaskets all around. Would your air filter setup run okay with the tri-ovals and cobra processor? ping me off line if that is better, cheers.

Yes for sure.. You need to remove the left side to gain access to the crank case breather, and at that point if you didn't want to reinstall the left side so be it.
I just prefer the balanced look thats all.

I take from your comments above that you ran your open air intake with the stock pipes and no fuel processor for 2 seasons. Did you have any added decel popping as a result? Would it be similarly safe to run your new intake on a Classic LT with stock shot-gun pipes and no fuel processor? I find the stock pipes plenty loud and unfortunately, the Classics do not seem to respond well to fuel processors. Thanks in advance! |

How much difference is there in this kit and the Thunder Air Kit that uses the stock covers?
