I have not seen a thread for topic on quiet inserts for V&H twin slash round slip ons. Steer me to it if already covered. Why would anyone want a quiet insert you ask? Slip ons were installed by previous owner and just a little loud for me when I need stealth mode. The tone is fantastic...don't want to give up the mellow tone...just want to reduce the db if possible. V&H tells me they do not offer a quiet insert. Anyone have a source for quiet insert? Successful DIY design? Anyone have experience on topic positive or negative?

The only thing i came up with is O pulled the insides of the slash rounds out to look how they were made. There is a cage around the baffel I thought about cutting a slot in the cage and adding some fiberglass muffler packing to help quit it down a little.
