I have the HJC RPHA modular, and its rated to be one of the quietest,& lightest. It is nice and light for its class, but I don't notice it to be as quite as they claim, but I think it comes down to splitting hairs when they compare them.

My pal just bought that helmet here, and my brother bought the full face model. They got them at the Toronto bike show at a screaming deal, $1200.00 each.
They have the intercoms built in, they can listen to music, and answer the phone through the helmet, thats after spending an hour trying to get the helmets to sync together.
Both fellas love them, and say they are super comfy.

Yep, that was tax in, normally those two models sell for about $1200.00 plus tax. We have a 13% sales tax in Ontario.

I've seen them down here for considerably less. You guys in Canada are getting hosed, real bad. I couldn't afford to live there. Might as well be NY or CA.

They could have bought 2 for the price of one here and I live in NY Ponch
Oh, maybe not, I just read the communication system is an option

NY, more specifically NYC and it's suburbs are very expensive places to live. I lived there for 40 years and it always gets worse.

In the original post I said C3. I didn't mention communication systems. Any of them are optional and there are others, like the Sena and the Scala. That said I don't need to talk to anyone when I ride.

So, for $629 anyone with the scarole can buy one and have a top of the line modular helmet. It might be cheaper for Ringading to buy stuff here in the states than in Canada. That's what I would do in that case.

I do try to buy in the states, especially while there on trips. Some items here are ridiculously priced

Not long ago there was a sale on Shuberth helmets. I want to say the C3 was something like $499. $629 isn't so high compared to other high end helmets like the neotec or other high end shoei and arai helmets.

I went to bluetooth last year and don't use the Voyager's radio. I put my tunes on a smartphone and can listen to what I want or talk to my wife on her bike. Yes and make or take a phone call. I use a Scorpion EXO 500 full face. Check out their modular.

I've got an HJC RHPA-Max (modular) and love it. I paid $330. The Schuberth is very nice but it's not for everyone. It's a very round shape so, if you don't have a round-like-a-basketball head, it'll be $700 worth of uncomfortable helmet but it'll feel nice against your skin. BTW, if you paid $1200 for the C3 (even at CDN prices), you got hosed. The CDN and US dollars are just about even and have been for a while. If you got it with the Schuberth specific headset, you got hosed a little. If you got it with anything else, you got hosed alot. Been there, done that.

The Canandian dollar isn't almost even anymore, it hasn't been for at least a year. Our dollar is worth approx .88 cents depending on the day. I liked it a lot better when our dollar was worth a little more, it got u to $1.10 US for a brief period a couple years ago.
I'm not sure of the model of those Shuberth helmets but ones a modular with the intercom and the other is a full face with the same intercom built in. They shopped all over and that was the best they found otd.
