Sounds like short people problems. Then again with my 36 inch inseam I need to move my shifter and brake peddle forward (long leg problems you see)

No the bike won't tip over unless maybe you are on soft ground, I mount this way when I put extra luggage directly on the passenger seat.

When you get old and your best buddy Arthur Eyetus comes to stay you can't swing your leg over the stock seat and back rest, let alone a trunk!

Instead, you learn to take hold of the left handlebar, place your right hand under your right knee, lift right leg with hand and step over the seat. Piece of cake.

Brilliant mate, did you just go out and take that picture ? I had to pick up a zimmer frame(walking frame) for my old man on my bike, i lashed it upright on the back seat,i got some strange look's from the people that i passed, it must have seemed like i had a 4ft high backrest.

Then go ahead and be jealous my friend... sunny and 70-78 all week here! This is one of two nice weeks we get every year in south Texas.

My bike stays parked mostly in the summer - Screw 100+ degrees and humid!

We do'nt often see 100d but we did have a good summer

We only had rain twice in 2 weeks in June in the U.K.
That must be a record !
We have been over there when its rained every day for 2 weeks.

That's because you go back to Cheshire, where it allway's pisses down, i live in the sunny south where the sky is blue and all the beaches are sandy not covered in stone's and condom's
