Good to know we can pick your brain :) I am on day 2 of Win 10 and all so far is running smooth. and alittle faster! I am still 90/95% set up like 8.1 which I had very little issues with!

Oh, okay. My bad. CORRECTION: CJ is NOT an I.T. professional so take that into consideration when reading his opinions.
There, I fixed it for ya buddy!

I upgraded from 7 to 10 the other day. I don't like the fact that I have to sign into windows with my email password just to load windows. I wish I could just load windows 10 and then log into email and use my password. Kind of a pain... Microsoft Edge. Can't figure out why that is so important

I am an IT professional, I just stay as far away from windows as I can. if I had the choice of buying a new laptop with Windows 7, I would have done that. I am not an early adopter of technology. I have worked in the industry long enough to know not to jump on the first release of anything.

have windows 8.1 and downloaded the free windows 10 the 8.1 is very slow on this site but now with the windows 10 it is lots faster. found that one of those icons says internet explorer click on that and my old home page came up and it looks like the 8.1 but this site is slow again E-mail works like it used to.

I upgraded from 8 to 10 and I like it much better. Windows 8 was a huge improvement over 7, except for those stupid freaking tiles. Horrible mistake on Windows part. 8 was much faster. Now with the return of the start menu (I always used start8), 10 is a huge step up.

Just looked to see what were running. It's Windows 7

Very Fast No need to change.

I use "Bit Defender" security and

it has an easy Optimizer that cleans up (Disk - Registry - Privacy) after visiting sites. Boom Bam Bang and its done. Just a click of a button.

No Parasites lurking in the background.

I haven't updated yet. About once a year I reformat my computer and reload/update everything. Generally I do this in the winter, so that will be when I update windows. Hopefully, if there are any bugs, they'll be taken care of by then and it will be an easy transition.

You can bypass that when you upgrade, gotta read the fine print at the bottom of the first few screens. But since you missed that opportunity......

You can install Classic Shell. Anyway, I installed it on one of my work desktops. It's ok. I had Win 7 on it before. It broke the validation on Office 2013 and the RSAT didn't work and there's no replacement yet. :( There's always virtual box. I still prefer Mac OS.
