Here's where the wires are located, looking thru the headlight entry. They are small and hard to find, but once you have them located it's not much of an issue.

Be sure to keep us posted on how the MP3 player works using the GPS cable.

If I do that will I have to re-adjust the headlight?

Normally not. There are tabs on the fairing which will fit into the openings on the headlamp frame. To be sure, just mark the headlamp frame to the fairing with a Marker (f.e. edding white or something similar). Re-install lamp on the old marking with the tabs and openings and your good.

Sven

Thanks Sven
I will do that and save myself some time and aggravation.

It would have been easier to remove the fairing if we didn't have to also remove the lowers also.

While I cant 100% verify that the cables I had with a Garmin Zumo 665 work the same, I can say the audio out does replicate speaker out, i.e. it plays music and overrides with GPS instructions. I routed it under tank to rear of driver seat and then plugged it into a Kangaroo splitter/amp from which I cabled both driver and passenger Scala Rider headsets into.

Thanks for everyones help on this. I got it installed today and the commands do go through the speaker system now but if I try using the music from the GPS SanDisk card it wont work. It plays but cuts in and out while playing. No big deal as I have the iPod for the music and that has the handlebar controls.

I do like having the commands being able to feed through the speakers though. Even if you don't hear the whole command it alerts you that a turn is near and you can look at the GPS to see what it is.
