Yea if My PT keeps going good I am gonna start My Chucksters back plate Mod next week and You can Bet I will take extra care with the Boot .

Well, this post saved another this weekend. I had the backfire which blew the carb part way off the boot. There was about a 1/16" air gap at the top and that was enough. It would start if you gave it enough gas, but would not idle. I trailered it home from where it quit and found it today thanks to this post.
Much obliged fellas for sharing your information. Now if I could just solve this pesky oil leak without having to pull the motor, I'd be all set. ![]()
