I am envious. You went through some of the most beautiful parts of Colorado. It is too bad you could not get pics of the best part. I would have been there if I did not have to ride through a thousand miles of desert to get there.

Yeah, but now the desert is humid. Worse than the ride to Mesquite.

just returned from a great trip in colorado. didnt ride the 550, however had a great time. rode the mt. evans scenic byway - road to the stars. Its the highest paved road in north america. if ya'll havent done it yet, it is well worth the three bucks to go to the top.

Moved back to where I grew up, Northern California, for family reasons. But someday I will be back, Colorado Springs is the perfect combination of worlds to me, big city but you can be out in the mountains in 20minutes from anywhere in town...

Great pictures. Beautiful scenery. I turned down a transfer to Meeker/Rifle, CO a couple of years ago. We built a new plant in Meeker. One reason I turned it down was the real estate prices. A decent 1500 square home on a postage stamp lot would have run $250K. I just thought things were expensive down here, not even close. Main reason was I didn't want to leave my 80+ year old parents, kids, and grandkids behind.
