Does Kawasaki use crap paint or what? I only have 5000 miles on my bike and I have several paint chips. Even one one the BACK fender don't ask me how that happend!

I think most of my chips came from the washboard roads in New Mexico.

they use a hard plastic thing; kind of u shaped, but long. Hard to explain! it would hook over front edge and sides, with same at rear, only elastic type strap.
similar to how they secure some of the fairing bras.
trying to figure how to explain this plastic thing; if you took a hard plastic tube, and cut a groove out of the length of it, so, it would slide over an adge....
oh, well, I tried !! LOL !!

I thought I had seen some kind of vender bra on the web before. Maybe a year or so ago. It may have been for protection when working on your bike. Not sure.

I don't know if we can come up with anything like THAT for a motorcycle... lol.. Thanks everyone for your help with this, I think we are much closer to figuring it out... appreciate all the comments...
