When it's cold, I use a 3/4 helmet, but in the summer I prefer not to wear one. At highway speeds, with a helmet on, my head just vibrates and drives me nuts.

I have always worn a full lid. Like insurance, I would never go with 1/2 coverage.

I have a Scorpion full-face that I wore until I found a Scorpion X100 Half. I use it with my Q2 comm system and it seems to work very well, but I'll bet it'd work even better with the full.

Not crazy about the full-face because I have very wide perepheral vision and have yet to find any helmet that doesn't block it to some degree.

We used to wear only full-face helmets until we discovered Scorpion's EXO-200 3/4 helmets. What a difference as far as peripheral vision when compared to full-face, and still DOT and SNELL approved.

We chose the Scorpion's over other 3/4 selections because of the fit, but also because they come with a fully-detachable shield AND a peak for when you don't want a full shield.

I have full face for bad or cold weather but I prefer my half shell. I like the full vision I get with the half shell. The wind in my face and once I even got a chance to eat a small terradactyl because of the half shell. But, that is a different story.

I have a Nolan N42-NCOM (3/4) for "cold" weather. Phoenix cold is 40 degrees. I have a Scorpion EXO-100, an HJC Vulcan, and Bell Drifter half helmets. I wear the Bell the least because it gets painful after about an hour. Lots of times I just wear a ball cap or a beanie (toque for our Canadian brethren).

I just don't like the totally enclosed feeling of a full helmet.

Wife and I wear half helmets when we ride. So about 80% time its half or none. the other 20% is a Shoei 3/4 w/shield when its super cold out. if I EVER went to a full helmet it would be a Arai for sure.

I mostly wear a 1/2 helmet. When the weather gets cooler, I zip in the neck warmer. When the weather gets cold, I wear a full face modular. I don't seem to have any problems in the rain with either type.

I have both a 3/4 and a 1/2. Usually wear the 3/4. I will say that running neked through Wyoming, Montana or Colorado is nice when I get a chance. Doesnt' happen very often, though.

I have a full face that I use on long interstate trips. When putting around home or on short runs I don't usually wear one. We are actually gonna get a couple of half helmets for the trip to Custer.

I wear a full helmet most of the time. But I am going to buy a half helmet for those hot summer days.

Shoei 3/4 most of the time. HJC Symax modular full-face in cold weather.

Since we're required to wear helmets in Georgia, we were half helmets; except if it's realy cold, then we wear 3/4 with shields.

I wear a HJC 3/4 and keep a face shield in the bags for rain. When the thought of doing a face plant crosses my mind I think of going to a full face helmet. I haven't yet because I like the wind in my face. We all make our choices and take our chances I guess.

Now as for me I don't wear a helmet on a daily basis. I only wear a helmet when legally obligated. On the long trip I took this summer I wore a 3/4 face and was miserable the entire time I had it on!!! It was just so hot and it would make me feel sick after an hour or so. I am planning on picking up a half helmet some time soon. I really like the one that is black with the American flag and the removable neck "cover" from AFX. Who knows if it is comfortable enough I might wear it all of the time. A helmet seems like one of those things you change to meet the weather. I could see how a full face would be nice during the winter.
