Yeah, the scenery is taking a huge hit. I think they finally have it under control.

This is the cost of civilization preventing natural fires from occasionally renewing rural and wilderness areas. The fires are much worse because they have been prevented for so long. I'm afraid we are in for a lot more of these in the coming years. There are still many areas that have not seen these cleansing fires for many decades and have built up huge amounts of the debris that fuel these fires.

I'm not particularly studied in the VBA bylaws especially where it gets into the confusing double entendre legal speak, but as far as I known one affiliated SE Member need only to "fidelis exprimere velleitas", 'express faithful willingness" to participate before we can affix the SE trademark.

Wife and I will be going to the rally. We will be arriving 18th and will be camping at the Buffalo Ridge RV Campground. Just behind the Best Western.

My wife Jody and I have our reservations. We will be at the Rock Crest Lodge, east of the Rally host hotel. The Best Western IS a BETTER DEAL! We have stayed at Rock Crest in the past so chose to return. We are looking forward to reacquainting with our VBA friends. We will be arriving on the 17th and staying for the week.
