Cj, would you say the Barnett Spring is the beefiest of all? Is it thicker as well? In another application I have used Barnett clutch parts before and liked them better than anything else offered.

I can see marks/lines on the left spring.....I think.
I've never had a clutch apart. Thanks "hammer" for the offer. I could do the same for the two of us. I have a place just across the line I can send to as well. I spend the weekend down there and there's no duty or tax's. I'd like to know { and will take Steve's advice and email the "judge"} if I/we need his washers with the 1600. But it does say the following on Gadgets "maintenance page section": "If your clutch spring has failed at fairly low (under 50,000) mileage Judge suggests 1600 owners toss this part and replace it with his washer set." so what have you'all got to say about that?? <marquee> ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)</marquee>

Thanks Scott,
I went back and read the complete thread. I was curious to read Brad's comment to "Doc" about not needing the judges washer set when installing the mean streak plate. I'm no further ahead really. Judges washer set or no judge washer set. What does "slipper" refer to? Does that mean it just is a little more gentle when engaging? I have sent an email to Robert Oglesby @ rcoglesby56@hotmail.com about the washer set, but no answer back. Does he take a while to respond? I wanted to do this clutch in the next week or so, or before I ride to Medicine Hat TO GET MY FAIRING INSTALLED !!!

Can you copy me in Rick? When you get to it, I will go in with you for the parts and give you a hand if the timing works.

The Barnett spring and Kawi gasket ordered Rick. Randy gave me an extra 10% off for lookin' so good. Wrench party at my place as soon as the parts arrive. We will have an electric impact gun available so no worries on thaty score.

And the bad news is the MT-25 is on backorder. Who knows when it will come in.
Can someone confirm the part# for the 2006 Meanstreak spring to fit the 2006 1600 Nomad. Confusion seems to reign locally as they are coming up with 92144-1295 for both models??? RonAyers.com seems to be showing 92145-1934 for both. Any information regarding the 1600 specific alternatives and part numbers would be appreciated.

It would be good to know what folks have used on the 1600s. I know the 92145-1449 is the Meanie spring on the '03 Meanie.
The problem seems to be that 92144-1934 shows up as the stock '06 Nomad and there are 2 showing for the same year Meanstreak: VNF6F is the same 92144-1934 VNB6F is 92144-1295 So in the '06 year there are 2 numbers for the Meanie, one of which is the same as the stock Nomad. In '07 all the Meanies are the 92144-1295 and all Nomads are the -1934. I guess the 92144-1295 is the update for the 1500 Meanie 92145-1449 in the Gadget write-up. Is any one else a little confused? Which Meanie for the '06 Nomad?

I think somewhere along the road they made the Meanstreak spring the stock replacement for the Nomad. I don't know why there is more than one p/n though. If there is a difference, Id go with the heaviest (thickest) out of the bunch.
