Congrats on the new wheels! There's nothing like the feeling of a new bike.

Good day people.

How are you all doing? Loved all your comments and I gotta say you're all bang on. I just love this bike. Why the hell did I wait so long.

Well I've got over 500km and a few changes were in order.
First I just had to peal off those stupid "don't sit on saddlebag" stickers and the "min octane" sticker on the tank.
The heel shifter had to go, and I raised the toe shifter so that I could get my boot under it. I've got lotsa room to move around now.

Next changes will be Risers to bring the bars about 3 or 4 inches closer to me. Anyone have an recommendations?
I also want to get a throttle lock. That really, really, pretty one.

The dealer was gonna sell me the bike with no tool kit. :(" title="" border="0"/>
I said I don't think so. He says " I guess they don't come with the bike anymore, and the triumphs don't come with tools either.

I told him he better find out before I leave. So he goes and checks the demos upstairs somewhere and returns with this little kit. I don't know whats in it yet but will check soon. Other then that, I've been really enjoying the Nomad.......ALOT!
I rode it today with Sylvia, (my lovely wife) and she loves it too.

We are planning on moving in the Kamloops area.

I haven't had anytime to surf the forum but hopefully will catch up soon. I hope you are all getting in some riding too.

Warm enough today to try it without the screen and lowers.

The bikes aren't playing nice, Suzy doesn't like her big step brother.

Man, that bike looks good without the shield and lowers. Glad that you're out there enjoying it. I'm not the one to ask about the risers, as I am still trying to figure out if I want to go with Aeromach or Phat II, but Trip has posted a bit about the throttle lock. Check out what he wrote:

http://www.kawanow.org/faq.htm

His write up on the Breakaway Throttle Lock is the fourth bullet down. I hope that helps. And the pics look great.

Congrats on the new ride. Yes, it should have a tool kit, not that you'll ever need it. That is because it is the Blue and Silver - good choice, the best.

I went with the Phat II risers.....I was having severe dead hand issues before I got them and absolutely none since....I'm very happy with them...They also allow me to sit back a little more instead of reaching for the bars.....

Congrats on the new bike. She is a beauty for sure! :) If you move into the Kamloops area, or any other part of BC, you sure are gonna enjoy riding the roads out here. Ride safe! :)

Thanks, I travel down there at least a few times a year and always want to go back. I used to live in Penticton in the mid 80's, loved it. The roads around these parts..........I should say road is Hwy 43, a 4 lane super slab . I have to travel 85 km north or 85 km south before I come across any other roads. We're pretty much surrounded by bush. I make a good wage but now that we have recently become empty nesters, we now want to work where we live and not live where we work. If you know what I mean.

Hey Ringadinh.
My in-laws live in Sudbury, still quite a ways from you but close enuf to think about giving you a call. We don't plan on being there this year though.

I just got this pic from the dealers. My Nomad and I.

Don't let them fool you about the color every one knows that the blue & silver are the fastest Nomads you just need to do a caddman air filter change, uncork the exhaust and install a TFI then hang on.

I don't think I'll be doing any mods to the engine as the wifey thinks it's fast enough already. Besides I don't what to mess with the warranty. For now I'm gonna set it up for comfort.

Cause if momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy. ;)

For amusement park style riding I use my Suzuki.

You make the Nomad look good Bosko!!!

Ha! How is that for a compliment?

It looks like you guys are already getting the chilly weather up there from the pics. It will be down in my area within two to three weeks.
