I am here to say DO NOT THINK ABOUT IT JUST DO IT ivan is a god when it comes to tuning the man knows his shit for sure.. allot of times he purchases the bike just take the time to get to know it and tune it.

I am a previous customer of his and he was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about my yamaha raider and after his flash and his pcv map my bike never ran so beautifully, smoothly, and powerful. even when it was fully stock it had its quirks

I will be sending out my ECU ASAP to get this flash done 100% positive about this no fear at all.

I KNOW I DONT POST MUCH ON HERE IM MOSTLY ON THE FACEBOOK PAGE AS MIKE TANNER

Unfortunately, because we live in a cruel and mean world (business) I don't discuss any of my future projects until they are 99% finished....

But, I will say that we are adding new projects all the time. :)

Thanks,

Ivan

Hey Ivan, I have a 2004 Nomad 1500 FI, any chance you will be going back that early in the models to map it?

Is it the ECU that determines what temperature the fan kicks on? If so, is that something that can be adjust with the flash?

I know running a manual switch is an alternative, but getting better performance and not having to do the work of putting that in would be nice.

Thanks! Checked out the webpage. Liked the numbers I saw on the dyno charts with my set up.

So these do come with a get out of jail free card, right?

Ok, another question.

When these start to run hot, it's my understanding (from what I've read) that the ECU also cuts back on the power. Not exactly sure if that's how it's worded or not. But would the tuning also defeat that?

The engine will run noticeably cooler after the flash.... It won't easily get into the higher temps anymore.

Adjusting the fan to come on sooner helps in traffic, but has no effect on the running temps when you are moving.... only the tune affects this.

Defeating the engine's self protection isn't something that I would ever do.

This is gonna be a hard one to slip by the wife. She'll definitely notice me not riding for a bit.

That's the added expense that has me worried.
