Starting next wed I will be off the internet. On Sunday, where will the best place in Cortez to find out the final "scoop" on the itinerary?

My guess will be the Budget Host Motel and look for the Nomads. Looks like quite a few of us will be arriving in the afternoon.

Bill,

Mark has it right about that. I will be at the Budget Host in the afternoon. Might just have to go for a ride early in the day. Either that or it will be laundry day. The ride sounds better.

I don't care where we eat. I'm a two meal a day guy, anyway. And I sleep standing up, with one eye open.

I have been to Cortez 3 times over the last yr to visit my Son. For my $$ the best breakfast place in the area is a little place in Mancos. It's on main st and you can't miss it. About 16 miles east of Cortez on 160. However, I will go any place that serves hot coffee.

With all the confusion over the road construction....has it been decided what/where the rides will be? I know Arches NP is on the schedule....but I'm lost on the others. I'm hoping that 550 up through Silverton is still on the table....that looks like the trophy ride of the bunch! A little clarity for the squarehead Norwegian would be helpful.... ::) ...

Since there is now construction at two of the runs we were planning on making, we have some changes for Monday and Wednesday.

Sunday – Meet and greet for those who have made it to Cortez on Sunday.

Meet up around 6:00 p.m. and then go to eat at a local restaurant. Blondies Pub and Grill
www.blondiespubandgrub.net

Monday –
9:00 a.m. Meet-up. Ride to Moab and Arches National Park. Round-trip is roughly 250 miles or slightly less.

Dinner meet at 6:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. Go to J. Fargo Family Dining and Micro-Brew.
www.jfargos.com

Tuesday – San Juan Loop Ride – Meet up at 8:45 a.m. and KSU at 9:15 a.m. Return by 5 to 6 p.m.

Dinner Meet at one hour after returning. Tequila’s Mexican Restaurant. (just 3 blocks from the Budget Host)

Wednesday - Monument Valley Run (CJ)- Meet up at 8:45 a.m. and KSU at 9:00a.m. Return by 5 to 6 p.m.

Dinner – Meet up one hour after returning. Location – the group can decide.

Thursday – Meet and greet for farewells. Breakfast? There is a Denny’s next to the Budget Host.

The Four Corners Monument is closed for upgrades during the week and even on the weekends you can't see the monument.

On Mesa Verde, the road up to the park is under construction and have had comments that it is not nice.

When you guys say Arches Natl Park, I hope you mean Canyon Lands at the same time. It would be a shame to do one and miss the other.

It is time dependant on how much one can do in a day.

The itinerary looks great. In fact it got me to rework our whole trip back from Gunnison. Gonna take a crooked diagnal line from Ridgway to Page, AZ and eliminate any trave on I70. It will take longer but I don't think we will notice it.
