Screws were either painted with chrome paint or had a really light flash coating....noticed a rust trail after riding thru a few rain storms.... On the headlight bulb, I'm running the Cree....great life....several years and doing fine. At that low of a price, I'd get a extra and toss it in the bags for a backup. The Cree's light up the road, HiBeam isn't that effective, but I'm running 2 LED Spotlights....they take care of seeing waaay on up the road.... On the spikes, I cut the tips off, sand blasted them, painted them good, ran my tassles out thru the end of the spikes, tied a big knot that way they wouldn't pull out. Sealed them with clear silicon seal.... Them slapping me on my arms helps keep me alert at night..... You're totally right, they will definitely blind oncoming traffic....

I got it to work. I reamed out the rubber a bit till it would fit over the end of the grip till it was snug. Do it a little at a time because if you open it up too much it's lost. Then I used a fatter piece on the opposite side to fit snugly on the narrower part of the grip. I don't remember if the fat piece came with the lock kit or was left over from a previous kit. When I couldn't get it to work before, I had thrown the whole thing in my "I-might-use-this-some-day box" of small parts I'll probably never use. I had to use a wide nylon washer to extend the Allen screw that goes through the thumb lever to get it to line up without flopping around or binding. It's 106F degrees outside now so I'll wait till late tonight to try it on the road, but it works with the bike running in the garage.

Mick 1.5 hrs ? Think of it as adventure. I just drove that far Thursday for my favorite burger. And that had cholesterol, a Light could save your life.
Or try the PIAA bulbs at 50 bucks American they light up very well

Wait until the left grip starts slipping back and you go to slap it back up with the palm of your hand!

Go back and read the comments again mate, you got it all out of context.1.5hrs is a quote from the previous comment. I suppose if you only get to ride your bike every now and again,a 1.5 hr ride to get a burger is an adventure.I ride mine everyday, all year round,so the novelty has worn off,so i dont get all excited about the 5 minute ride to get my favourite takeaway meal.

That's a great price for an LED H4. A friend and I paid around $60 which was a discounted price, at one of the bike shows out on the coast. The the guy is a seller on this site. They have a separate driver or ballast (whatever that little block is) plus additional wire that one must curl up in the headlight housing. I've yet to install it.
Great find and thanks for posting. Edit: Correction, he is not a vendor on this site but rather on one of the adventure riding sites I frequent.
