If your total shoulder replacement goes like mine just did, it will be well worth it. It is painful and it is a long recovery, but I am virtually pain free with pretty near full range of motion now. Just continuing to build strength. Right after the surgery, I couldn't even swing my arm an inch. The PT afterwards is really, really important. Took six months before I got on the bike again, but without the surgery, my riding days would have been over.

Best of luck with both your procedures. There is next year to look forward to.

Welp, this is high on my radar. I know we have some sort of niece wedding type thing sometime next summer but I'm not 100% sure it is necessary for me to attend. Only fly in the ointment may be my son getting married in Hawaii next summer. That is still up for date verification.
