There may be earlier examples but, Singer had introduced a SOHC engine in 1926, a first for a British mass-produced car. Hardly modern technology.

It looks like they will unveil the new Chief in Sturgis. And H-D is celebrating its 110th at Sturgis, too.
Very tempting idea for a road trip. |

Amazing what a few bourbons on a cold winter night will force you to read and study...

I for one am rooting for Polaris to create a great looking and riding motorcycle. The price is completely in line with expectations. No matter what it isn't going to scare HD, but it will probably make them create a new nostalgic looking bike with a springer. I also hope it gets HD to get a little more creative in their paint dept.

Polaris doesn't make motorcycles. There are 2 companies owned by Polaris that DO make motorcycles. Indian and Victory. Both make "great looking and riding" bikes.

Their CEO appears to be very sharp. You can bet he is pulling all the strings in those companies and is very aware of what is going on. Polaris has way too much money invested not to. So... to me... Polaris is making the bike brand-names of Victory and Indian... not the other way around.

They are going head-to-head and not backing down...
Thought the commercial was funny, especially since it appeared they used an anniversary edition HD in it... They have released another pic of the new Indian (similar to the one in my current sig) only now it shows the entire length of the bike's silhouette, instead of only the front-end, so you can see the lines of it.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha... that is a great commercial! I have always loved the Indian's. They have so much character and are such beautiful looking bikes with the swooping art deco lines and those big fat saddles. I hope that Polaris can make Indian profitable again and hope that someday (far down the line) I can own one of them.

I've been a way from computers so I'm catching up with things...
So the all new Indians have been unveiled, I like this one: I think we'll see more Indians on the road. |
