I'll ride locally without a helmet, doesn't bother me at all. However, I always wear a helmet on longer rides.

I want take short rides if the temp is above 90s. But on long rides if it gets hot I use the Colorado cool vest and neck wrap. They really help keep me cool.

I rode a bit in KY without a helmet just to see what it was like. I didn't much care for it. Wearing goggles may have helped. Wind noise was annoying as well. Different strokes, folks!

Always ride with gloves, boots, full face helmet and jacket. I used Areostich riding pants most of the time, mesh pants some or jeans. When I rode to the rally, I wore my Firstgear jacket and Stich pants the entire ride out and back. It was a little toasty at times but it was a lot better than getting burned up by the sun.

Well, raw monkey brains ARE a delicacy in some countries. Someone would have to get to me pretty quickly.

Haven't you already fried yours? Well, I did for a while. Still enough left to enjoy the ride.

In the hot weather or anything above about75 degrees, I go with jeans, boots, or tennis depending on how far the ride, and t shirt. No helmet, just my ball cap turned round. Rain will see me bring out the helmet. Fingerless gloves on longer rides. A friends adventure with an angry bumble bee has taught me that shorts are a bad idea. Evedently there's not much that's funny about getting stung on your meat and two veg. Although, I still had to laugh. Never seen a faster stop and dismount this side of a crash.

Riding is a dangerous passion. Any serious rider has a little bit of fried gray matter. :)

I was wearing my FF helmet and I put the shield up one notch to let some air in, and a red hornet came right in the crack, barely stung me right on the end of my nose, and got sucked out the bottom. The thought crossed my mind that if he had stayed inside the helmet, I would have had to "take it" until I got the bike parked. I'd hate to try it again and find out! (though I might prefer that to one on the ol' twig-n-berries)

I have been known to ride in t-shirt, shorts, tennis shoes, and a half lid.
Yeah, I have been called crazy before. My preference would be jeans, leather jacket, and gloves. I love the spring and fall rides. |

Currently 56* and will be about 60* by the time I get out on the bike this morning. I might even put my chaps on, just for the hell of it. If the meds kick in, I might even wear something under the chaps.

I somehow snagged a yellow jacket in my helmets chin strap on my cheek a while back...talk about a fast pit stop! 2 cars stopped to see if I was having a seizure or something and had a good chuckle. I ride in jeans and a half helmet with varying degrees of protection elsewhere based on heat/coldness. I have a lot of cold weather base layer gear, a couple degrees of glove options and a mutiple layer riding jacket that goes from mesh to toasty. Helmets are required where I live and I ride with a half helmet year round with a mask in the colder months. I used to ride in shorts but I am just generally more comfortable in jeans or pants.
