I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw of your accident. I'm real sorry to hear the bad news and that you where hurt so bad. I hope you and your wife get well quickly. Please keep in touch here and how your doing. It sounds like it's going to take a while before you're 100 %.

I really enjoyed listening to you tell the story about the "turbo Nomad" in Custer. Glad to have met you........ Again, get well soon and stay in touch here.

Prayers and well wishes. Aint it good to be home. After all the fuss and the muss is over, it's just plain good to be able to hop or hobble over to your own bed and crawl under your own blankets and give ever lovin thanks for some good pain pills so you can sleep. God bless.

Several of our states should call upon Louisiana Coona$$es to come and clean up their excessive whitetail herds. We keep them in check down here. That's why our deer/vehicle collisions are pretty low in comparison with states like Michigan, New York, etc. We don't eradicate but keep the state from becoming overpopulated with deer and thus becoming dangerous to drivers and riders. I personally don't get good feelings shooting a doe but it has been proven that it has to be done to control the herd population and maintain their well being. If the animal rights activists get their way it would be very dangerous riding in any state day or night.

Vic,
Take care and mend well and fast. Prayers and thoughts for you and your wife. As others have said, it could have been worse, and we are thankful that it wasn't, yet we still feel for you and am sorry that the trip had to end in this fashion.
We'll see you at the next one.

Vic,
I'm sorry I did not get the chance to meet you while in Custer last week, but as everyone has said...our prayers are with you and your wife for a speedy recovery. Your positive attitude is of great inspiration to all of us....and it sounds like your bike will be ready and waiting as soon as you two heal up. God Speed....

Thanks so much everyone, the prayers and wishes are definetly helping. I have pictures of the accident, might sound strange, but I made the couple traveling with us take pictures of everything (this one has got to go in the scrap book lol) I will post pics of the nomad as she landed waiting for us to ride again. It was great meeting so many of you at Custer and I so wish we could have met more. I am happy to hear Mikes injuries were a misdiagnosis, and that he will be well quickly. I have my daughter designing me a tattoo to commemerate the deer event, cant wait to get it, and then go do a little deer hunting. Once again thanks so much everyone, and when you see the Nomad again she will have a total new look!!

Yeah, I'll bet deer hunting will feel a little different this year! :)

Victor, you sound like you are in good spirits, and I don't think photos are morbid at all. Your bike is featured prominently in a lot of shots in the badlands video I posted on the main board, as the bike right in front of me, still in it's prime.

Thanks Vic. Reckon you could put me down for for a deer tat? I'm kiddin' . If I ever come to realize it ain't a good idea to ride along a river on a highway strewn with deer caucuses at night with only a vest and helmet, then I might consider one. I believe road rash removes tattoo's better than lasers.
