We are waiting on input from a few more of the folks who originally expressed interest. In talking with Tom and reviewing what folks have said here, we have narrowed it down to the week of July 16th or the week of August 13th. Should not be much longer till we nail a date and hotel down.

There is a bike rally in Cape Breton the 1st weekend in August in Sydney. Lots going on that weekend, guided rides all over the island . Fortress Loiusburg is a must see. Also in Louisburg there is a mussel and crab fest. Those snow crabs are delicious. Weather changes quickly on thr trail. I find the best way to do it is counter clock wise. All the pull over spots are on your side of the road. Judt my opinion. You can google the Cape Breton bike fest for addition info.

Tim finally got some good news from the surgerons orthro and plastics. They took off the external rods becabuse my foot wasn't heeling straight due to the weight of the rods. They didnt want to put cast on as it may chafe the new skin, but they had no chioce. On my last check up the cast came off everything looked good. After a few adjustments to get things lined up another cast was applied. Looks like i may not need the 5th surgery, i'll know on my next visit. I may get a walking cast if all is well. They tell me rehab is going to be long and i may have to walk with a cane. I can live with with that, i still have my leg and foot. I also had a little heart damage when it stopped during the 2nd surgery. They said i just will get tired easily. Life without a motorcycle is going to be difficult.

I'm glad to hear you are improving. I'm sure this has been very hard on not just you but your family as well.
Best of luck to you going forward.

Sounds like you are coming along well David considering what you have been through. Keep your spirits up and listen to the doctors.
I can't imagine being without a motorcycle either but being alive takes priority. There are other things in life that are more important.

Count me among the retired, so my time is flexible. Since Patriot is in charge of weather, I vote for his recommendations.
