I got my 200+ miles on the CT yesterday and lowered the air pressure down to 30 psi. I love the ride on the highway but the tire to me feels a little soft on slow turns in town. I get the feeling that the tire is trying to duck out from under me. But I guess I will have to wait until it warms back up to play with the pressure some more. They are calling for a big change in the weather here today, getting much colder with snow showers toinght.

Maybe TC just put Sid up to posting that so that it wouldn't have his name on it.

I was about 4 rides into my CT before I got the "hang of it". After a couple of "close calls" that would have been collisions with a motorcycle tire, my opinion solidified considerably.

Rode the car tire 2040 miles and after really running it hard in the curves I went back to a Dunlop Elite 3 180-70/R16. Maybe it was just to cheap of a tire but I could never get the pressure right. It was always to hard and bounced me all over the road or to soft and the side wall would break down in hard curves. After it about dumped me in a hard right hand turn on highway 79 south of Hannibal, Mo I have decided to give up on it. For those of you running a car tire I wish you all the best but I am done with them. I will just pay the price and stay with what I am sure works for me.

I haven't heard about sidewall problems. I liked the CT soft ride. Mine did bounce and steer on rough roads. I currently have a Avon M/C tire but might go back darkside in the future. Missed yall in Van Buren and hope to see ya in Antlers. |
