How fast is fast?
100 Stupid MPH on my Mad, but riding from Joplin MO to Big Cabin Ok back in 85 on a early Sunday morning. Two up and wanting to get back to Tx. I started squeezing the go go juice to my Interstate Wing and stopped at 100, no traffic and the radar nice and quiet. Rolled on up to 125 and the Wing just floates. Finally the wife notices the fence post going by pretty fast and over the head set I hear, Hey how fast you going. So I leaned to the right so she could see the speedo, and at the same time I noticed a small black dog running like crazy off to my right. Only had time to dump the gas and was going for all the brakes and the dog jumped the ditch but did not make the other side and rolled down into the ditch. Sure took a big bite out of that saddle. Dropped back down to the speed limit until got to Big Cabin and found out the fuse had blown in my liter socket to the radar detector. The gods were smiling that morning. If I get to going on my mad now days that little event seems to pop up and the throttle comes back down.

How fast is fast?
I quess I'm just getting old.
I no longer am interested in finding out how fast I can go on/in any particular vehicle. I did that when I was young and immortal. Then I got a little older and decided to limit my speed activities to the dragstrip. That way if something went wrong I would probably only hurt myself and not some innocent person. Going fast on the roads just no longer makes sense to me. Too damn dangerous.

How fast is fast?
175 mph on my son's 02' Honda CBR 900 RR Fireblade!
It's very, very too fast! And you must have lost your mind to drive at this speed, but the kick is unbelievable. Greetz from The Dutchman Login or Register to Remove Ads |

How fast is fast?
I really enjoy the sensation of speed, and always have, especially the acceleration part. While the Nomad isn't fast by any means its still fills a void when I need a rush once in a while.
I wish we had some highways here in North America where there is no speed limit at all, like the Autobahn in Germany. Then it would be worth having a Corvette or Hyabusa in the garage.

How fast is fast?
110mph. Whenever I get a new bike, once it's broken in I find a lonesome highway and take it up to 110 for a couple miles. Just to see how it handles and behaves at that speed. Then I rarely go that fast again but I know what to expect if I ever have to for some unknown reason. My current ride is the new 1700 and it handles 110mph just fine thank you!

How fast is fast?
I've had mine up in the low 90's on the interstate wanting to get around some trucks (not comfortable riding behind 4 or 5 at a time). That was more than fast enough for me. I usually stay around 70 or so stated.

How fast is fast?
Fast is not a selling point, I don't ride the Concours anymore. Now I am all about comfort.
