Stock Harley Mufflers on a 2005 Nomad
If you set the Cobra to 1.5 on first pot and 2.5 pn the second pot you should see pretty good mileage. The Chuckster on filter on right side does help for the burping and back fire. The hyper charge is IMHO a piece of junck - but that's just me?

Rewindgy-I tuned the Cobra 2000 today...#1 pot is sitting between 1.5 and 2.0 and turned #2 to setting 3. Went out for a good ride after that....noticeable performance improvement and without doing numbers yet...fuel consumption is looking better. I did that before reading your post so I think I am close...may try some fine tuning yet. If I can get rid of some of the intake noise...I will be more satisfied. I agree with you on the Hypercharger....all show no go.....way overrated and over priced...just to watch to butterfly flaps move...sheesh! It would never be my choice but was on the bike when I bought it......I received none of the stock intake stuff either when I got it. I will experiement with a few different things on the intake and hope to get rid of it. Thanks.

Are you sure your flapper bushings aren't wore out and you hear the shaft rattling

No Skiman...this is 'sucking' noise...sort of 'barking' especially when accelerating and when under load...just in certain RPM range and under certain load/vacuum conditions...may just be nature of the beast. Not blaming the Hypercharger...but it may be contributing to this.

Well I do know that intake noise can be very loud that is why you see such large air filter systems on stock bikes

With the Chucksters set up on mine ( slightly modified - I can't leave anything alone) the intake roar is almost un-noticable - until you really roll on it - and then it's nice!
