Sure, I keep one in the pickup pretty much all the time. Wife's car too sometimes.

Well, maybe the new wild Southwest. As I've said before, we end up in the middle of nowhere quite often. Always obey State Laws though.

I keep a small pistol in my saddle bag all the time.. I have a lisense to do so, here in ky.. Of course, if something bad happened, I'd probably be done in, before I could get it out of the saddlebag........The only time I really felt good about it being with me, was one day when I was on the blueridge parkway and the end of the day sneaked up on me a lot sooner than I expected. It was all the sudden, so foggy, I could'nt see 20 foot in front of me.. My only thought was, that,, if I had to spend the night leaned up against a rock, maybe I could keep a bear off of me, with it. Luckly I made it to the next town.

I'm a firm believer in the right to carry and practice only when I have pants on (and shorts count)

MS State law makes it clear you can carry a firearm in a motor vehicle. So, if you are carrying it in your "bags", you are within the law. However, carrying it while sitting "on" the motor vehicle is another question.

I would not think it would be to hard to ck with local PDs to find out.

Also - if you do get a concealed carry permit, remember it will not be recognized by all States.

And that is the rub. It is isn't recognized or a better way of saying it is that all states will not reciprocate recognition of your CCW. The coasts are the worse in general. If you have a Utah and/or florida, that covers more than half the states.

I just bought a holster that straps around my upper chest. It makes carrying a S&W J frame real comfortable and a regular t-shirt covers it all. I always carry. Being a retired LEO helps a lot.

I have a NY permit which is not recognized by any other state because this ass backwards state will not recognize any other states permit. :(" title="" border="0"/>
I also have a Utah permit which as someone else said, is recognized in half the states.
I also check the laws in the states I am going to travel through and abide by their laws, no matter how draconian. ::)

Me too and that's why I leave it at how for trips to either coast. It isn't worth the hassle.

All the time... Like now sitting here in my room, having coffee and texting on Kawanow, After coffee in the shower. I have a shower gun made of stainless.

At work, working on what ever t he hell it is I am working on. In the trucks, cars, van, and on the bike, because when I have pants on I am armed.

The bike is just no different, I don't go un-armed and then get armed to ride.

At night I have a loaded AK clone, a 12 ga, and my carry gun all in reach every night, and I live so rural most of the people in this town have no idea this place even exisits.

Basicly I don't need to be armed at home, but after some wackos in the past, and the Easter 1999 murders of my father in law and his 2nd wife in the best house in a nice neighborhood, I just want my 50-50 chance to attempt to survive any bad guys.

When I am out and about no one I hope knows I am armed by looking at me.

So far that idea appears to work since NH permits are only honored in 18 states and I have been in 40 armed.
The only gun law that I live by is the 2nd. I shall not be infringed.

TC, I know for a fact you are playing the Devil's Advocate

The only time I left it home was our trip to Canada.
They are in the dark ages up there when it comes to gun possession, eh.
Cindy and I travel some pretty back roads when we travel. Just feel better with it in reach.
