I don't have a fancy set up for my bike, bought a Coby mp3 player from Amazon for around 12 dollars, a little velcro from the fabric store and plug into the aux jack for the Voyagers radio. The velcro does fine up to about 115 mph then the windshield vibration will shake it loose. I have enough music downloaded to drive over 10 hours without ever hearing the same song twice, and as far as GPS goes, who doesn't mind getting a little lost when out on a cruise. I think you would at least need an adapter to change to the new, narrow connector.

I'm pretty sure only the latest gen of Nanos has the lightning connector. I believe this one does have the 30 pin connector.

I have a 16 gig 1st generation iPod touch with about 4000 songs on it using the Kawi iPod adapter kit on my Vaquero and it has worked flawless for almost a year. Love it.
