Jared, As mentioned we all took a break from riding to take care of the family! :) I took off a bit over 20 years, put 2 through college,1 through Tech School and 1 in the ARMY! All 5 have good jobs and family values, Which is missing in a lot of families today FAMILY FIRST is the number 1 rule. Good luck with your family and your job!

Jared
I'm late to this thread but I wish you the best for your future! It amazes me how many of us gave up riding for almost 20 years and then came back, me included. Robert I am so sorry for your loss. I have been married for 38 years and cannot imagine loosing her. I read somewhere that you know your getting old when you hope to die before your spouse because you do not want to deal with the pain of loosing them. I'm apparently getting old because I've had the thought. May we all make the best of the time we are given.

Good luck in the future, great looking kids, take care of them and yourself. You're young enough, you can do that and then ride. I turned 60 last year and have only been riding for the past three plus years, you can do it all, you just have to set the priorities right.

Jared, great pics and good looking family. Take care of them and yourself, the riding will come back, you're young enough to do it all. I turned 60 last year and have only been riding for a bit over three years and love it. You have your priorities right, family first, do what you have to do, make them happy and you'll be happy......SORRY for the double post!

Best wishes Jared!
I've been there, done that too. Love on those kids with everything you've got. You will wake up one morning and they will be all grown up. Thanks for being a part of KawaNow and the VBA. Bob

Life changes and so do priorities. It was great meeting you back at the VBA/VRA rally in Eureka. Good luck with whatever direction life takes you and your family. Also glad you will be hanging around the forums; you have always been helpful with great information about our bikes.

in march 84 I bought a new 83 Yamaha venture .... april 84 found out we were going to start a family so I bought a side car and kept on going .... only had 1 kid so that worked out well but did slow down the traveling ... kept that bike 27 years / 150 k miles then moved on to the current 010 nomad
at 13 months we took the kid to quebeck for her first big trip with tent and sleeping bags and had great time then to Yellowstone and various places as time and money allowed .... just cant quit |

Like the rest have said, we've all taken that break and it is well worth it. I took a motorcycle hiatus until my 4th child, my son, reached motorcycling age himself. Now we ride together. All the best, Jared.

Jarad's bike
Looks like she might be up for sale again. Some dude in Tucson has it up for $4500. Doesn't look like it was taken care of as well as when it's previous owner had her.
