I doubt the Japanese testers ever checked if the bikes front end would wobble if you took both hands off the bars. I guess they figured you would always have at least one hand on the bars

In my case I have a 1500 and I didn't change the bearing.....I tightened what came with the bike and that has worked for me.

there have been instances where they didn't grease bearings and splines. I guess anything to save a buck.

Mine was never lose. Some people experience that. It's probably a good idea to pull the forks off and get the bearing done right with a synthetic grease.

So bike (Voyager 2013) is in for 24k km's service at dealer. Inspection found triple tree bears past acceptable wear. Is this a warranty issue? I believe it should be covered. 24000 km's is nothing in my opinion. Advice?

By the way the last 10000 km's I found that I could rarely take my hands off the handle bars as it would wobble badly.

I would think steering stem bearings would be covered under warranty.

Same here I have been riding with no wobble all summer. Rode home one night about 5 miles of the ride hands free. Temperature dropped over night about 30 degrees cooler then normal and I got a wobble. Checked the pressure and was under 20 pounds (I run 30 lbs normally). Aired it up to normal and no wobble at any speed.

I can't believe how low air pressure some people run in their tires on big heavy bikes.

Maybe different issue but hoping someone has some insight. I dont have a wobble and can ride with no hands at times...til I come to my senses.
My 11 Vaq. has a bad vibration in the front end at lower speeds when I lean into left and right turns such as on mountain roads. When I straighten up, the vibration goes away. Any ideas? |

Tires.
How many miles on your tires and what pressure do you run?

When my -rear, Brazilian Mfg- Metzler ME 880 was coming loose from the carcass..It "Looked Normal", til I looked closely, down into the tread groves, and saw the cracks...
It would sound like I was riding on "diamond plate" in the curves ! |
