OK bagger brothers.......I agree with Dave and his opinion. I just dont think Indian will or try to get the chiefton (Which would be the pick for most of us Voyager riders) or any tourer class bike where good old average riders can affort it . In america companys seem to love that they can charge crazy amounts of cash for a american names that we all love (Harleys and Indian and many other custom names). Im just a simple rider thats loves the american roads that i am so blessed to be able to ride anytime i want, and over half of the time i see some super awsome american tourer i want i cant even afford the engine. I love the indian and always will but the price is not even reasonable for what u get.....

OK fellow Rider In The Wind..I was at Sturges and saw the New 2014 Indian, They had one on a demo-dyno, and ran it every hour or so...I did not hear any "lope" to the engine like a Harley does..she is smooth and sounds like -power !..I was impressed with the transmission...it is aparently syncronized all the way thru the gears,,and VERY SMOOTH ! (unlike my 02 Nomad)
As for "Over Drive Gears"...I'm not sure about the new Indian..but I am sure that my 2002 Kawasaki Nomad..FIVE SPEED Tranny, has TWO OVER DRIVE GEARS...Yep 3rd gear is Direct..and 4th & 5th Are Both Over Drives !

Indian demo truck will be in Houma a few miles from here on Friday and Saturday, 11/22 and 23rd. If I don't have to wait in line for a couple of hours I will take a ride. Not interested in buying.....just riding.

If you ride one, you'll have to own one.

If I have to own one, I'll just have to make more room in the stall. The one I have now is staying. I may have to shift my self control into overdrive.

I think you are mistaking feature and quality. A voyager with ABS lists for almost $20K now. While it has a lot of the same features (not all), it's made cheaper and it shows. There's also limited color choices. While Indian has only three colors, HD has a lot more. Kawasaki seems to pick crappy colors in the last few years. I've owned 4 Kawasakis, but they aren't in the same league with HD, Indian and Victory when it comes to touring cruiser, but are made for the customer that is looking for the most for their money and it willing to put up with a few less features, lower fit and finish quality and very limited color selection. If it works for you great, but I have found for the most part, you get what you pay for. That said, a chieftain isn't priced that high compared to it's competition.

I thought we were talking about Indians.

BTW should Indian change their name? The Wash. Redskins are on the hot seat.

Why not just not give a crap? People will be idiots. Unless it infringes on me, I let them.
