My buddies bailed on me. So I will be riding solo. The wives wouldn't give them hall passes. Needless to say I told them to grow a pair, I write my own hall passes (then forge her signature

).

I changed my route and will be meeting you in Colville Saturday night and will ride up to Coleman/Canmore with the group. I have already made my reservations.

Steve has volunteered to be my roomie...........shhhhh don't tell him you know what

. My two possible friends bailed too, but I never counted them on the list...so no harm no foul. Four weeks and counting. We'll be in Canmore before you know it...but not before I take my legendary status to Alaska next week and put a hurt on some Deshka River King Salmon....

Alrighty...we have two more confirmed attendees...Al and his wife Karen from Langley, BC. Rickyboy ran into them at a Chevron station and gave them all the info about the VBA and the Rally....

. They will be riding their own bikes (he has a Nomad, she a Honda Shadow) and camping close by...looking forward to meeting them as well as those I have not yet had the pleasure...!!

Man !!! this is great !!! I couldn't be more happier. If we are all committed, those are great numbers.
I've been on holidays at the "new home" and been working my a$$ off gettin er done. So let me tell all of you I can't wait to go for a ride to Canmore. Looks as though I'll be riding with "hammer" from the coast. My plans changed again and I decided to bring the snow sled trailer up with the truck which meant I'd be driving back to the coast with the truck to pick up the Nomad.

If Ross {"darksider" } sees this,.... get in touch with me via email or something. Last I heard we were all riding to Canmore together.

Did you read the new Rider magazine?. Article about a WA/Canada border run. Mentions Benny's Colville Inn and the route from Colville to the border crossing we will use.

It was great timing as I will also use some of the info on HWY 97 for my return route.
